T3fun Reveals a Fiery Month of Events for Players of the Online Action RPG Hellgate Global

LOS ANGELES — September 7, 2012 – T3fun today announced a full lineup of events for Hellgate Global players this September that will challenge all to a heated battle against the demons of Hell. The minions of evil have mercilessly charged their way into the once-safe abode of the humans, but with more powerful equipment now available for Earth’s defenders, surviving the onslaught just got easier. Players can expect tons of rewards and deals this month, especially those who have are fortunate enough to encounter the Auspicious Merchant Beelphegor!

Gear Up! – Tired of demons laying waste to your character? Fear not. Simply upgrade your weapons or armor to +10 or +12 within the event period, submit a mail inquiry and your precious equipment will be upgraded instantly to +11 or +13, respectively.

Auspicious Merchant – Listen to the call of the Auspicious Merchant as he pawns his wares for palladium or auto-dismantlers. Bargain hunters should be on alert to meet the lucky Beelphegor. Who knows? You might just get that rare item you’ve long been searching for.

Breached! – Green Park Station is under assault! Demons of all shapes and sizes will be randomly spawned to bring death and destruction to the area. It’s up to you and your unyielding strength to protect the base and show Hell’s armies who’s boss.

Above and Beyond – Want an extra bang for the premium items you’ve been purchasing? Ten players who purchase premium items will be randomly selected each week to win special prizes that will be distributed at the end of the month. The top five spenders at the end of the event will be receiving a very rare, unique prize.

Hell’s Diaries: Parties in Hell

In any MMO game, the ability to party up with a group and take down a common enemy is a staple already and this holds true even for Hellgate Global. I absolutely love partying with my friends, especially if it’s a tough boss that we have to collectively take down. Sure, the rewards for beating a tough opponent are a welcome sight but the camaraderie built among your friends and the fun that you get from overcoming a challenge together is so much more rewarding.

Anyways, as most of you already know, there are some pretty daunting bosses in Hellgate Global that prove to be a problem for a lot of players to take on alone. Kaibutsnatan, for example, is a gigantic beast to take down. If you’re powerful enough, yeah maybe you could beat him on your own, but for normal players, it’s always better to go after him as a group as seen below.

Kaibutsnatan might be tough but it’s definitely no match for 4 players that’s for sure. It much easier to kill a powerful boss with help from some friends and this is no exception. Of course, everyone still has to do their part but with mates to lean back on, you’re much more free to go wild against your foe.

September 2012 Event: Articles of the Underworld

As promised yesterday, we said that we would be having more events for you to come this month and here’s another one of them. The gates of Hell have opened and demons are invading the planet. With the proper knowledge and wisdom however, you might just stave off this growing threat. The “Articles of the Underworld” have just opened for you. Would you dare read it and save the world? Or would you leave it behind to grow lost in a hellish future?

Easy isn’t it? However, you’ll need sharp eyes and quick reflexes to best all the other hopefuls who have their own agendas to win. Be sure to read the blog every Friday and take advantage of the clues that the “Articles of the Underworld” will offer. September 2012 Event: Hell Raiser

Hello everyone! It’s now September and that means we’ll be having some new events again to celebrate the new month. After a spectacular August which featured some unique contests, you might wonder what new stuff we have in store for you now. Wait no longer. We have them here for you. Up first, is a brand new event which will strike fear into the soulless hearts of demons everywhere. We call this exciting new event, “Hell Raiser.”

To learn more about this interesting contest, please refer to our mechanics below. This will surely be one hell of a ride for everyone.

For those looking for more of a challenge, this event is fit for you. Every day, a different monster will be tasked for you to hunt (yes, even bosses). Who knows what kind of fearsome monstrosities you’ll have to face to reach your goal. However sweet the prize may be, this event is really all about bragging rights and who can step up to take down the most terrible minions that Hell has to offer.

It’s not often that we talk about the Summoner class. Is it overlooked? Unfairly so and that’s why we’re giving it the spotlight today. Well, what is the Summoner class anyway? Unlike the Evoker that uses your standard magic and elemental attacks, the Summoner uses something more out of this world: demons themselves. That’s right, the reason they’re called “Summoners” is because they summon demons to attack their opponents. What better way to counter the forces of darkness than to use their brethren against them.

But summoning demons is just eye candy if it can’t do anything against the big baddies, right? But don’t worry. The Summoner can hold itself on his own even against the most powerful demons Hell has sent forth, as seen below.

It’s kinda cool seeing the demons of Hell succumbing to the mastery of the Summoner. It’s not very often that you see characters in MMOs employ such devious techniques and it’s what makes Hellgate so unique. There’s a variety of fun attacks which you can only see here. Sure, traditional weaponry still applies here but even those have its own quirks and surprising effects.

Try out the Summoner class if you have the time. I haven’t gotten around to exploring its entire skill set but from what I’ve used, it’s a very interesting class. It’s cool having minions of your own to do the work for you actually. Haha.

August is nearly ending and it’s time to say hello to September. After a crazy month that saw a universal arms race and exciting deathmatches, how will September build on the excitement? I’m here to give you a sneak preview on the highly anticipated September events we’re sure you’ve all been waiting for. I, myself, can’t wait to experience them first-hand. Unfortunately, I’ll also have to wait for them along with everyone. However, I’ve gotten some info from our team here on what to expect inside and outside of the game soon. If you thought August was awesome, September will be super. That is of course, if you can survive the more hellacious attacks of Hell’s spawns.

• Toughen up and be more prepared to take down those demons who once laid waste to you with a new event that’s sure to boost your confidence.
• Do business with others and the business will reward you in more ways than one.
• Surely Green Park is a safe place right?
• Who says spending a lot is bad? Spend, spend and spend and see the rewards flow in!
• What’s the use of powerful equipment if you won’t use them right? Take down some of the most powerful demons in existence and prove your mettle.
• Read the ancient texts and you might just be able to visualize your forthcoming victory.

Those are just some of the clues you’ll be getting for our next events. Of course, they won’t be enough to prepare you for what’s to come but at least you now have an idea of what they are. As always, the only way to survive is to strengthen both your body and mind to bravely take on the minions of the underworld. It’s not foolproof but it’s a step in the right direction.

Based on the video alone, it should already give you an idea what to expect. We’re personally very excited about this as it has unlimited potential for mayhem and destruction as we all love to see.

Hell’s Diaries: The Wild and the Dessicator

One of the new stages that players will encounter in the end game is Stonehenge. Yup. That monolith of stone is actually part of the game as a station. You can do all sorts of stuff there that you normally do in a place like Greenwich. More importantly though, it’s the center of  many warp holes leading to new stages you can explore. One of these stages is called “The Wild.”

As its name suggests, “The Wild” is basically a wilderness or a forest of sorts. It probably takes its origins from Jurassic Park or something since it’s very similar in how it looks and plays. Much like the dino park, it plays hosts to a bevy of demons, most of which are very animalistic in nature. Leading this new hive of diabolic incarnations is the Dessicator.

If you’ve played the Cow Room already and have seen Imhotep, the Dessicator is quite similar in the fact that it looks like a mummy and it spawns minions to protect it. In fact, I’d liken the Dessicator to a serial killer that looks like a dwarf. It doesn’t look like it has a well defined face though. Anyways, it’s a rare monster some say but I’ve fought against it a bit already so it might not be that uncommon if you scour “The Wild” enough. As with all bosses, it takes quite a while to beat but the rewards of course make the effort so worthwhile.

So, are you ready to venture into the unknown and meet the Dessicator?

Hell’s Diaries: Blades of Hell

Wonder what a PVP match between two Templars would be like? I’m curious as well so I tried to find some footage of the melee masters going head to head. One a Blademaster with his offense-centered skills while the other a Guardian, famous for his impenetrable defense. Who wins?

The video above shows the speed of the Blademaster as he tries to penetrate the defense of the Guardian but ultimately sacrifices his defense. The Guardian just stays put and bides his time to launch a planned offensive. While there’s really no one way to win in Hellgate, it seems that the strategy employed by the Guardian wins him this round. Would it be fair to call the Guardian a stronger class? Of course not. Remember, in PVP, it’s not whose stats are superior but whose strategy and skill is better.

The lesson here? Practice. A lot.
